Hey, Happy Thursday!

I’m writing this from my sisters room in Sheffield- having a quick trip here before another day in London and a mini-break to Prague, it sounds lux but I had a four hour coach journey up north which was a tad grim.

I wanted to share with you all this look I shot on Tuesday with my bestie and share a little about my Easter weekend.

For every sultry, cool photo you see of me there are a dozen outtakes of me mid-laughter or pulling faces. But if blogging wasn’t fun I wouldn’t be doing it!

I’ve worn this look a handful of times since I got the jeans last month. I bought them on an amazing sale- reduced to just ten pounds and had to have them for the amazing embroidery. The flowers and birds juxtapose with the slight distressing and the slight straight-leg fit. Like most women my age I’ve been in skinny jeans for years and it’s a recent jump (and a slightly intimidating one) to set my ankles, or my thighs free from constraining denim. But the feminine detailing offset it and sold it for me- and I’m so glad I bought them.

Both the jumper and jeans are from Boohoo-with about a year between the purchases, but they always have amazing affordable, snuggly jumpers.

When I tried the jumper with the jeans I was sold- I even wore this outfit when it was snowing out (with leggings underneath and a coat on top).

IMG_9607EDITThe shoes are my super comfy Converse one stars- that I manage to make go with everything thanks to the versatile colour and I matched my tank top with said blue to keep everything bright but pieced together.

This Tuesday was an awesome day to shoot and catch up with one of my faves. We hung around Southbank and Camden, went for burgers (our routine) and then headed to get some awesome news- private, but awesome! It was a great day to finish a busy weekend.

(so up close- peep all my flyaways! #wavyhairlife)IMG_9652editEaster weekend I was so busy with services, a craft morning and an abundance of chocolate. I had so much fun celebrating my first Easter with my new church and church family here. It’s always strange to break habit and the last few years I was at a different church, and honestly, I guess I was slightly worried this Easter would be not as good- and was having general FOMO.

But I need to trust that there’s more going on sometimes, and in the last year my life had changed a load and that’s not a bad thing! The highlight was seeing three gorgeous babies baptised and sharing lunch, laughs and prosecco with a big, loving church family.

There’s nothing like a moment of real encouragement, followed by a well needed break to remind me how much I love my job!

Next time I’m writing it should hopefully be about Prague, so stay tuned, have an awesome week, and let me know what you think about this femme floral/coral outfit!
